Welcome to the Springman Chapter

National Junior Honor Society

Informational Website

After 2nd trimester, all students in grades 6-8 with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and higher will receive an informational letter about National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), which is an honorary society for middle school students who exceed not only academically, but also in citizenship, service, leadership, and character.

Once you meet the GPA requirement, you will be asked to fill out an activities form, get teacher endorsements, and write an essay.  You will need to have been a member of three activities during the 2007-2008 school year and four hours of service to the community.  The activities must come from the categories of: sports, clubs, and miscellaneous activities.
Two of your activities can come from the same category.  You can pick up a copy of this list from Miss Kreiseder throughout the year.

More information about the all of this will be given to those who qualify in March.

Good luck to you!

* Please note:
National Honor Society members are well-rounded and exceptional persons.  If a student is involved in a situation that requires great disciplinary action, they will not be admitted to the society regardless of any other qualifying characteristics they may have.
